What is ArtWorks?

ArtWorks is a long established summer educational experience for children ages 7-14. In the morning, kids take one of the following “majors”: Magic, Musical Theater, Theater, Video, and Visual Arts. In the afternoon, there are electives in a variety of topics. Last year they included: Basketball, Chess, French Conversation, Hip Hop, Improvisational Theater, More Art, Digital Photography, Strategy Games, and Writing. There are frequent times for recreation and whole-group activities (such as our long-running “Soap Opera”). On the last day there are productions and sharing of the work produced over the summer for family and friends . Hours: 9-4 pm, cost: $1000 for the month (or $275 per week) .

ArtWorks Junior. In our second year, a hands-on morning program for younger children ages 5-7, including creative art, science and nature, music, puppetry and storytelling. We take fun field trips as well as investigate the resources of the 30-acre Waring campus.
Hours 9-12, cost $600 for the month (or $175 per week).
